Hey there,
So I’ve been around, just not really “around” on the blog. I am guessing I didn’t mention it here, and won’t be taking the time to look it up, but my mom had surgery Tuesday. Things are going well at this point. Just wanted to ask for your prayers! It’s been a long week. Actually it felt like a long week at noon on Tuesday. But who says long weeks aren’t blessed weeks? Not me! God is showing me so much about asking for and accepting help and being served by His church. I’ve also gotten a sneak peek at some divine timing and that’s always fun!
Last night (or the night before?), I was driving home from the hospital, praying and listening to worship and thought, “how do people get through things like this without God?” I can’t imagine how hard it would be. Even if all we saw was the love from our family and friends, that love comes from Him who actually IS LOVE. But we’ve witnessed so much more than that. It’s humbling and amazing to know and see His hand in our lives.
Okay off to bed before I get even more mushy.
LOVE!
1. Two classmates whom I saved from a most certain ill fate by using my AAA membership to unlock their car, gave my GODIVA CARAMELS as a thank-you. YUM!
2. I passed my ATI final, woo.
3. I got a FREAKIN’ “A” on my third peds exam. In order to get the full effect of this one you must know that I had been OUT of my mind worried over since I took the exam Monday. We’re talking worried about getting kicked out of the program.
4. I PICKED UP MY BFF FROM THE AIRPORT! (this one’s my favorite)
5. SAID BFF BROUGHT GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES AND A HOMEMADE BIRTHDAY CAKE WITH HER.
6. We went out to dinner with our dads who consequently paid for dinner. plus!
7. BFF CECILIA WAS HERE! did I mention that?
8. We went to see le brother, thus completing the best cousin trio of all time.
9. Came home to spend the rest of the night laughing until we cried with our dads and my mom. Good times.
10. Friday marked the beginning of Fall Break for me. No class until Wednesday then off FRIDAY! WOOT!
11. CECILIA was here!
Surely this was the BEST FRIDAY OF ALL (please hear this in a very grand voice)!
LOVE!
ps. I am extremely sorry I did not get a picture of this but I saw a lady NOT WEARING ANYTHING BUT A SHIRT! at the airport Friday. This was most definitely not a reason why Friday rocked. I’m still reeling from that site and the fact that NO ONE ELSE acted shocked or was doing anything about it.
Now I’ve got you hooked because I bet you thought the title of this post meant I was going to reveal something dirty. Sorry.
I know a lot of people fantasize about this but I’ve been doing it more often than I usually do lately. Picture this……………………………………………………………………. I win the lottery. BIG. We’re talking AT LEAST 20 million. I would IMMEDIATELY go buy my dream Toyota Highlander (and by “immediately” I mean after tithing, paying off loans (my classmates loans too!) and giving huge amounts to charity). THEN I would pay for a driver to take me to and from school so I can sleep and/or study on the way, a masseuse 24/7, pedicures for life and a ridiculous amount of jewelry, shoes and clothes, trips around the world. Man, I go on FOREVAH. In fact, this is getting unhealthy, which is why I try not to do this. I am CONTENT (when not overwhelmed with stress) and happy with my life. But a new car would be super nice!
this is a 2007 but will have to do

What would you guys do with 20 million?
LOVE!
This whole “one comment per post” business WILL NOT DO. NOT. Please leave comments. Pretty please? I mean, I practically bore my soul and told my most appalling secrets (name that movie) in the last post. Hello photographs of me dancing! I am starting to think I’d have to announce I’m dating someone to get some lovin. For those of you who ARE commenting, thank you. Let’s try a group effort next time. How about a deal? I will try to post at least twice a week and you guys will try to comment when you can. You could even just say “word” and I’d be happy.
Things have been really great lately. Like superbly great. First of all, I CANNOT get over how great last weekend was. Seriously. Secondly, we got a few unexpected breaks at school this week (yay). Basically I feel like my cup is constantly overflowing. My cup overfloweth! I have so many things in the future that I am excited about, which I love. C comes next weekend and I’ve been plotting and planning and it’s going to be a stellar weekend. After she leaves (booo), the ONLY consolation I’ll have is that fall break will be on Monday and Tuesday. Also, next week is midterm for me, meaning I switch from pediatrics to ob/gyn, which means I’m halfway through my SECOND SEMESTER, getting ever so close to being done.
Okay enough gabbing. More photos for those of you have not seen these on Facebook.
Here’s my girl, too cute

another photo of me dancing. what.a.shock.

If the first week of my 27th year is ANY indication of how awesome the rest of the year will be, I AM TOTALLY STOKED! It has been beyond awesome. I mean, really the whole LAST month has been so great. I love, love, love having things to look forward to, especially when those things/events turn out to TOTALLY ROCK MY FACE OFF!
So the weekend my cousin Louie got married in Arkansas. There was a bit of craziness on Thursday which turned into me getting to drive down with my parents and attend the rehearsal dinner. Get this, they had a live band and DANCING at the rehearsal dinner. THAT IS SOOO WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT. For some time now I have been contemplating having dancing at my rehearsal dinner but thought maybe people would get danced out? Overwhelmed with all that MOVEMENT and RHYTHM and GYRATING (oh my!) Who could POSSIBLY do that two nights in a row? I WILL TELL YOU WHO! THIS GIRL! Plus others. To sum it up, this weekend was pure awesomeness. Now I am itching for the next wedding!
Here are some photos to help your imagination!

Some dancin’ fool. Had to be dragged off the dance floor. Kicking and screaming. And scratching.

That’s all for now. I hope you’ve begun stretching in preparation for my wedding and the inordinate amount of dancing that will occur there. If not, START NOW!
