Ash Wednesday is tomorrow.  I really really want to give something up for Lent but I’m really torn on what it should be.  I hope tomorrow I wake up and it hits me!  I cannot wait for Eucharist/Ash Wednesday service at Grace Episcopal tomorrow, I’ve been looking forward to it all week. 
God has been so faithful.  His joy truly has been my strength and I can’t help but fall more in love with Him everyday.  Derick Bingham was amazing today in chapel.  As he was reading from Elie Wessel’s book, “Night”, it occured to me how very capable I am of the actions that Nazis are infamous for.  I am human and capable of all and any sin.  My sin is so great, but not greater than my God.  I think realizing the depravity of my human nature helped me learn about humility, something I have been struggling with.  I am nothing, He is everything.
*Soapbox* I really disagree with Fat Tuesday and all this Mardi Gras business.  I was reading someone else’s xanga and they talked about the lack of logic behind getting in all the “bad” stuff you can before Lent…yeah doesn’t make sense to me either.  It may be because I don’t agree with “partying” in the first place, but seriously…partying because a special season of our faith is coming up?  Does that really make sense?

ps that’s right, I’m reading a book about sex, and I don’t care who knows it!  It’s actually really good!

edit: I feel that I should clarify my “ps” as found above, the BOOK is really good, not sex, because I would not know!  I mean I’m sure sex is good, it’s just that I can’t have an opinion…oh brother, you know what i’m saying!

ps i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend downloading “Honest Man” by Matt Wertz, especially if you’re a girl, you’ll LOVE it.  If you don’t, you just don’t have a heart!

AHHH Matt Wertz concert last night was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I had so much fun. The greatest part was hanging out with people and getting to know them. I love just chillin, chatting and laughing. I LOVE COLLEGE! I love my life!
We’re going SALSA dancing tonight wahoooo!!

I know it’s only Monday, but this is totally turning out to be the BEST WEEK EVER! Last night, Ashley stayed with me and Cecilia and I bought our tickets to fly to Europe. Tonight was AMAZING bible study and I found out my cousin is pregnant!! I’m so happy! Praise the Lord for the bounty of blessings He pours out to us!

FINALLY, I get to watch the Olympics!  That’s right, at this very moment I’m watching them WHILE posting, how multi-fan-task-tic am I? 
So I didn’t get watch all of Melinda & Melinda because I fell asleep…that’s right I’m an 82-year-old trapped in a 22-year-old’s body.  Yeah I fell asleep during my Valentine’s date too…I’m a ball of fun!\
My parents are coming tomorrow, my parents are coming tomorrow..WOOHOO!  And on Saturday the REST of my family (those precious Knapps) are coming to visit too!  This is the BEST WEEK EVER (in case you couldn’t tell from the caps overload)
Anywho I’m gonna get back to my precious Olympic-watching time!

Although I have in mind the topic of a serious post, I’d rather write something light.  The other night, as I was brushing my teeth, I started thinking about styles of brushing teeth.  There are people who are neat and only spit at the end, there are people who are messy and spit all the time and there are all those in between.  I’m more toward the “messy/spit several times throughout” spectrum, but oh how I’ve always wished to be a “neat/one-time spitter”.  Those types always seemed like perfect people to me.  You know, they ALWAYS floss, wear they retainers, and do other non-dental-related things perfectly too, like wear sweater sets and have perfectly manicured nails.  You see folks, once you get the teeth-brushing style down, the world is yours.  If you can figure out how to NOT get toothpaste slobber all over your face, and keep ALL that spit inside your mouth till the end, well, you have it made, what CAN’T you figure out?  Man…those lucky people.

ps i hope this movie is good, i heard it was and therefore rented it.  I’m kinda excited because it’s my first woody allen movie…hmmm we shall see!

I’ve been listening to some great mixes I have, and I thought to myself, “why don’t I get  little animals serenading/encouraging someone to kiss me?”  I mean they REALLY set the mood on Little Mermaid, and I could use that kind of help, if you know what I’m saying!  So if you hear of any lobsters or small fish that need a job, let me know, thanks!
