I will be 22 in less than an hour…seriously, where has my life gone?? 22 years have FLOWN by. Wow. Time is such a strange thing when you really think about it, especially if you are listening to Coldplay while you think about it. It kind of makes me want to cry. My life has been so good I can’t possibly imagine what lies ahead. A whole lot of God, that’s what!!

I hope this migraine goes away…we can’t have a birthday migraine!

Coldplay in concert…AMAZING…seriously there are no words. It was SOOOO good and ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY and every minute spent waiting to get good lawn seats!! I still cannot believe how great that was.

The rest of the weekend was SOOO extremely fun too…from eating out to playing Catchphrase…AHHH! Good times, good times!

So I’ve become what I hate, a “I-have-facebook-now-so-i-neglect-my-xanga”. I’m sorry for those of you who really care and read my xanga faithfully. Facebook is wonderful and enthralling, but it’s just new, xanga, I swear it won’t last. Xanga, you are my true love, really I mean it.

Okay so we’re heading to Dallas tomorrow for the Coldplay concert, I’m totally stoked, well except for that whole Hurricane Rita thing…hmm. I’m so excited to see my friends that have graduated and hang out with them!

Okay I’m off to do some brain-dead thing…woo hoo!

So I have a secret. I’m enthralled by drugstores, Walgreens, CVS, USA drug, you name it, I like it. I think it has to do with the fact that they are not usually crowded (like Wal-mart), they are clean and they offer such an odd variety of things. I cannot deny that standing in front of a beautifully organized beauty product shelf delights me. It’s so thrilling to know that there are about a zillion face washes and hair sprays I could try and I still have my whole life ahead of me. I’ve recently discovered the new, big USA drug here in good ole Siloam and now I am addicted.
One time, during freshman year, I went home on break, and my brother and I decided it would be cool to go to our drugstore and hang out….an hour later we couldn’t tear ourselves away.
It’s weird…I know. Just thought I’d share that with yall.

Another week has flown by and I can hardly believe it. It’s just a little past 11 and I’m DEAD tired. For those of you who don’t know, I’m holding down three jobs at the moment plus a mere 14 hours of class a week, which makes for an interesting (HA) life.
The thing I’m most looking forward to is that I ordered a new Nalgene. I had to retire my first one, which is about the saddest thing ever. Seriously! I got it the summer before my senior year of high school, with my dearest Cece. We decided to get bandanas to match our nalgenes for our white water rafting trip with the fam. My old nalgene was turquoise and covered in stickers. Good ole’ blue got my through senior year, amidst weird glares at lunchtime (I had to have it in order to ensure that I was drinking enough water every day!!!) It helped me fit in at JBU, since unbeknowst to me, Nalgenes were THE THING at college…my friends at Colorado Christion and Western Washington U even commented on my amazing foresight. It even went to Honduras with me and though it was doused in turpentine for an undetermined time, it pulled through! But alas it has lost the battle with “Goo-gone” and succumbed to a premature death! And to think I was hoping to bequeath “Ole blue” to my grandchildren…just a moment…*sniff*
Here’s to old Nalgenes and the Nalgenes to come! Any stickers you want to send my way would be VERY much welcome! Let’s try to make my new bottle feel as homey as the last. I already have a “College Republican” sticker itching to be put on something.
So yeah I guess this entry is dedicated to my faithful Nalgene.
Needless to say I’M TIRED!

I’ve made a big step toward growing up, of course with God’s help! Something I couldn’t do before I did today without being out-of-my-mind nervous!!! It’s a great feeling.

Whew this week has been absolutely CRAZY! Tuesday and Wednesday I didn’t get home till 8/9-ish…yuck I don’t like that, but it’s okay because I survived!!! Now I have the apartment all to myself, so I’m chillin, though homework is gonna start cramping my style here soon, oh well.
Onto a less egotistical topic, I really have a heart for everyone that has been affected by Katrina. Watching those images in chapel today brought tears to my eyes. I just can’t get over how those people are getting kicked while they are down, as if losing everything, even a loved one, isn’t hard enough, disease will start running rampant, there is looting and so on and so forth. The Lord is sovereign though and He hears our prayers for hope, healing and comfort! That’s all!
