Why in the world am I still awake?  I was exhausted at 10:30..AHHH!

So I’m home from the Lake, but going back either Thursday (I guess that is today) or Friday, because, uh hello, it’s the 4th of July this weekend…HECK YEAH!  I’m stoked to be surrounded by family.  Here’s to hoping that grandma doesn’t sunbathe in her bra and then leave in a huff!

I’m so way behind in my online class that it’s not even funny.  I’m taking my iMac to the Lake to keep up!!

You know who is the greatest kid ever?  Alexander stinkin Riester!  Last night he tried to walk behind me up the steps (a little known fact is that I’m terrified of people walking behind me up steps) and we stood on the steps for like 5 minutes giggling so hard we couldn’t breathe.  Then we were throwing my nephew, Dylan’s, bath toys at one another…SOOO funny!!  Yeah…that’s probably one of those “you had to have been there” stories, but oh well.

We ate lunch today at P.F. Chang’s and you know what I have to say about that?  P.F. CHANG’S WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!  It was SOOO good, in fact there are leftovers in the fridge calling my name….

Cecilia Frances Riester; You’re online survey cracked me up!  You kill me….oh and thanks for the lovely voicemail…I so loved being called hooker…sadly that was the high point of my day..HA!

Okay seriously I must sleep…must sleep…must sleep!

LOVE!

This morning mom and I and this lady that my dad works with were getting pedicures/manicures and as we’re waiting for our polish to dry, mom’s cell phone rings.  I’m the only one who hears it, so I grab it and look to see who is calling, but it only says “CALL”.  Mom answers it and lo-and-behold it’s KU med saying they have a kidney!!!  Mom is 7th on the list though, so it’s not likely she will get it.  It’s still crazy that they even called.  It’s amazing to think someone’s life will be saved today and their family will be so happy.  Then to think someone died today and their family will be grieving.  God bless organ donors!!!

Okay gotta clean and baby-proof the house; baby Dylan is coming…YAY!

This weekend has been quite a delight.  Alex and I were “home alone” because the parentals decided to go to the Lake.  Normally I would have been right there with them, however Alex had planned this whole Royals game thing Saturday night to celebrate his birthday.  I couldn’t miss that and disappoint my brother!

So yesterday we tailgated (it was my first time!), then went to the Royals game.  About the 8th inning I notice that I have missed 6 calls…that NEVER happens.  One number is Randi’s and the other I don’t recognize.  So one voicemail is Ran and the other is Matt?  So I call them back, because it sounded important and….THEY WERE COMING TO KC!  So they asked to stay with me and OF COURSE i was like HECK YEAH!  So we met them on our way home.  I’m so glad they (Randi, Tim and Matt) stayed here, we had fun.  It does my heart good to be near friends!!

ps i’m mad at xanga for not letting me see my comments…GRRRR!

In the wisdom of my youth I once said that the worst feeling in the world was to be unsure about something.  I’d have to say that a close second would be SUNBURN!  Why is it you seemed to get sunburned worst in the places where clothes rub you the most?  AHHHH.  Outside of that and the fact that it rained most of Friday and Saturday at the Lake, it was great.

I’m getting a cd player installed in my car tomorrow!  I’m so stoked.  It will even connect to my ipod!  Sweet…Alex and I are going rollin’ tomorrow night!

I’ve been learning German as of late, and I’ve come to the conclusion; “Ich Weiss Nicht”  Okay I know that the second word is spelled wrong, but I can’t figure out how to insert a german letter in here…too much energy.  So yeah.

Shout out to my cousin Grace….she is a wilder, less modest version of me I swear.  That kid is crazy but I love her to death!

This week has been absolutely craziness!  I have been to KC every day the past week.  Mom and I went shopping on Tuesday!  We ended up buying her stuff, which is good, cause she needs stuff!  I got a cute pair of shoes out of the deal too though.  Plus we had to shop for Alex’s 20TH BIRTHDAY!  It seems so crazy that he will be 20!!!

Yesterday from 9-3 we volunteered at the PKD foundation…it was fun but exhausting!  I went to bed last night at 9:45.

We also conquered Costco, Baba’s house three times, hanging out with my cousin Annie, cleaning, starting college chem and tons of dishes this week…not to mention several tornadoes that ALWAYS seem to be headed for good ole Lansing, Kansas!

Now I’m off to the Lake…it better be freakin sunshiney all weekend long…I’m gonna relax and get tan.  WAHOOOOO!

LOVE!

C- I wish you were gonna be at the Lake with me!!!

So I went to the doctor today…good news…I got medicine for my migraines!!  Yahoo.  I’m so relieved!

Tonight was my first time at Veritas discussion.  It was amazing, I really enjoyed it.  Next week’s topics are the morality of war and capital punishment.  The war discussion should be interesting considering what my dad did for most of his life and the fact that the discussion leader is an adamant pacifist!

How is it that I’m doing nothing yet I long for vacation?  I’ve (or we) started working on painting our bathroom.  Today I laid down some primer…I’m pretty sure I killed like a billion brain cells…that stuff was so absolutely noxious!  Yuck

Okay enough for tonight!

First of all, I’ve been a xanga member for 618 days…whoa.

Another astounding number; I’m almost 25% done with War and Peace.  It’s a daunting task but I feel up to the challenge ;)

I went to Elevation Sunday night up at church.  It was pretty amazing.  It’s pretty much youth group for 18-30 year olds.  It’s funny how intimidated you can be by a group of Christians…I walked into the MYC room and felt like I was 15 again…walking into youth group knowing no one outside of my brother and yet having faith that God wanted me there.  Luckily my friend showed up so I had someone to sit with!  The worship and message were amazing and I’m definitely looking forward to going the rest of the summer.  I need a big dose of God!

I’ve decided to go to Veritas with my dad on Thursdays night up at WOLC also.  It’s a class devoted to worshipping God with your mind.  We’ll be studying ethics.  I’m excited to do this, especially with my dad.  I love having deep conversations with him.  My dad is such an example to me, the way he constantly challenges his mind.  I hope to be as smart and wise as he is!

So my college chemistry class starts next Monday.  It was seriously an act of God just to get enrolled in stupid KCKCC.  It was extremely exasperating to say the least.

Still no job. Please pray that something comes through!  I’m trying my best to trust God on this one.

LOVE!
