Well it’s just mom and me for the weekend.  Sadly we’re not going to the Lake.  I want to hang out with Kaitlyn and she won’t be able to go the Lake.  Plus Grandma and Grandpa are going and while I love them, I can’t take being at the Lake with them.  I know…I’m a horrible granddaughter! 

So I’ve been thinking…I don’t really hang out with kids my own age a lot when I’m home for the summer.  It’s kinda strange.

I went up to St. Joe last night to this dinner for a class at my church.  It was so great.  I’ve felt so disconnected from WOLC since I left for college, like I don’t really know anyone there anymore, but last night was just what I needed to feel reconnected.  I saw some old friends, got to catch up, etc.  Good times, good times.

So I’m sitting in my brother’s room right now, writing a new xanga entry from his laptop.  God bless wireless internet and darn apples for needing airport cards…that was like 10 hours of my life COMPLETELY WASTED!!! 

Let’s see, today mom and I tackled the Commissary (military grocery store)…how do I forget how much energy is required to do the commissary..it’s seriously an all day thing.  So after at least 1.5 hours there I was pooped.  So we went to Nuway since mom was “starving”.  I love Nuway…it’s this quaint hometown restaurant in downtown Leavenworth that serves delicious loose-meat hamburgers. 

Yesterday Alex and I played tennis = me being extremely sore this morning!

Oh and I had a nightmare about vampires last night…what is THAT about?  I wasn’t too freaked though and went right back to sleep.

Alex is addicted to something called facebook, but as far as i’m concerned it is a poor-man’s xanga

I’m almost 1/8 done with this book…HA

Who knew boys could have just as much drama as girls?  Seriously!  Well, it’s been a while.  What have I been doing the last two weeks…a whole lot of NOTHING!  Actually I have accomplished a lot.  I’m still working on getting a job.  I’ve discovered that I love club sandwiches (minus tomato, of course)!  I love Kansas City too. 

I got to see Mike today at church, which was a total surprise, though he has called me like 3 times and I have not returned his phone calls..my bad.  It was great to see him.  He’s going to Europe in like 3 days…I’m so jealous.  It seems like EVERYONE is going to Europe, but me

I started War and Peace, so far i LOVE it. 

I’m glad Alex is home!

It’s amazing how good new underwear make you feel!
I’ve finished one final, about to go to another! I’ve been enjoying squeezing in last minute quality time…there is nothing like three girls in a twin bed!

Matt Wertz concert was fun but FREEZING, so much for “island party”
I’m so ready for home, home-church, my room and bed, a big shower and hanging with Alex!
