You know what’s weird? When these mysterious blood spots show up on your pants. And you’re like where did that come from, is my nose bleeding, is blood dripping from the ceiling?? What is going on? Why am I bleeding and don’t know it? Then, since you don’t want to change pants since you’re already dressed for work, you decide to put on a nice black ribbon belt. You tie it in a bow so no one will notice your weird tiny blood spots near your belt loops! And you kinda freak out, but then as you’re taking your medical terminology quiz you realize you have a paper cut on your thumb and that must be the source of the blood spots! Then you tell your friend katie, cause she was worried too and she says “oh”. That’s weird, don’t you agree????

“We need a witness to our lives. There’s a billion people on the planet… I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things… all of it, all of the time, every day. You’re saying ‘Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness’.”
I’ve been thinking about this quote a lot lately, and I like it. It’s from Shall We Dance. I love thinking about how love is in the details and how true love notices all things. I’ve only experienced this kind of love from God and I’m so glad He is a God of details. He notices everything and that’s nice to know. Now for that husband…..

So I got the job at VIP salon, where I’ll be a receptionist. I’m so excited about it and I even am going to get more hours than I had originally thought! I know that this is God blessing me. I’m really glad too, because it’s been bothering me lately that I can’t tithe and I really have been wanting to, but with no real income, that’s kinda hard.
I just started my paper for Bioethics that is due this Thursday and I’m really excited about writing it! I think it’ll be good for me.
So, pretty much, everything is right in the world!

ps. fake engagements rings are fun! It’s nice to wake up to diamonds (even if they aren’t real)! I could almost forego the husband if I could have the diamonds…JUST KIDDING! haha…I’m not really that shallow!
so the highlight of my day, so far, has been opening a new peanut butter…don’t you love digging your knife into that smooth, unblemished surface? ok, so i might be a little obsessed, but you just have to be a Riester to understand! I LOVE NEW PEANUT BUTTER!

So I just got done with my first Yoga class…it was pretty dang intense, and totally not what i was expecting. The second week has started off pretty well. I’m still excited about being here. Although I was late to Marine for the SECOND time this morning! I really need to get my act together, this is SO not me, I’m not the “late-person”. So anyhoo!
Some new phrases for your education:
“chuh” = use in place of “duh”, it’s great
“one person’s father is another’s treasure”…in lieu of “one person’s garbage is another’s treasure” = i guess use this one when you feel the need
I think Richard Allen Farmer is super neat, I’m glad I went to chapel today.

p.s. I’m really enjoying The Odyssey so far…so woohoo
Yay for weekends! Mine has been pretty dang great and it’s only Saturday afternoon (well except for the incident at Pizza Hut). Last night was just plain crazy, but so much fun.
God is teaching me so much and I’m so thankful. This year is going to be wonderful. I’m so excited…woohooo!

So I’m back in good ole Siloam. Hopefully off to a good start as far as the semester goes! Although I was a teeny bit late to marine this morning. And i’m not a late person. I got here last night and I’m still unpacking and organizing, ugh!
More later perchance!

So outside it is a winter wonderland. The schools here were cancelled today and tomorrow, kinda makes me wish I was still in high school. I loved the thrill of finding out there was no school the next day, that I could sleep in and watch movies all day long! Oh well…I’ll try to be thrilled anyhoo. I’ve been such a bum.
Alex got his wires cut yesterday!!! That’s right, mom, al and I braved the icky weather to drive to Fort Riley so the poor boy could stick his tongue out at me!! haha, no seriously, I’ve never seen anyone as happy to eat real food as my lil brother. His class was cancelled today too. He called and told my mom that he hasn’t stopped eating. He’s gonna gain back those 20 pounds in NO TIME. I’m so happy for him. He is one of my favorite people in the whole world. I want to take him out to Steak and Shake to celebrate the use of his mouth again!
Okay, I have so much more nothing to do.
LOVE!
You know what would be super cool???? To live inside a Chronicles of Narnia Book! That is my dream. Other than that, life if superb. If you’re lucky, I’ll say more later
