I had a dream last night that I got the scholarship from Liberty Hospital, which is not surprising because it’s all I’ve thought about for the last couple of days. I’ve been waiting and checking my cell for missed calls since Tuesday! And today, in the mail, was a thick letter from Liberty Hospital offering me the scholarship/work agreement! Not only will 1/3 of my tuition be taken care of but I won’t have to look for a job after I graduate.
If there was ever any doubt that this is God’s will, His plan, well it’s squelched now. I feel so blessed and honored!
Thank you for your prayers during my interview, I appreciate it!

I got poop on my sweatshirt. Someone else’s poop to be exact. Luckily it was a very cute 8-month-old someone. Preparation for nursing or motherhood? or BOTH!
Did I ever tell you that when I finish a nannying job, 90% of the time I SWEAR I smell poop? Either on me or just following me. I cannot escape it. I think my paranoia over poop following me has escalated to a RATIONAL and REAL fear. awesome.
I never thought I’d be the type of person who blogged about poop but here I am, blogging about it. Sorry but this is my life. So really you should be apologizing to me.

Oh.my.goodness
This dog is so great. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I think this feeling is our hearts growing to accommodate our love for the new girl! I know that’s sappy but it’s true and real and how I feel! I love that we can do this, that people have the capacity to love more and more!
Here are some pictures so you can have a better look.

guess who thought she would be sleeping here? She hopped right up like she owned the place.

checking things out

We’re having a bit of a conundrum here. We, and by “we” I mean mom and I, thought Paisley was THE name for our new girl, but apparently the testosterone vote in the house isn’t buying it. He likes “Surly”. The thing is, she’s NOT surly. So we have done A LOT of name searching today. “Sadie” (from “Sexy Sadie” by the Beatles) and “Liebchen” (”sweetheart” in German) are the two other top choices. Please leave a comment and vote on your favorite. Or suggest another name, preferably two-syllables and non-human (yes I realize Sadie is a human name).
LOVE!
